ANIME STAFF |
![]() |
Of course, the Berubara anime would not have been what it is without a strong production team. Despite the production difficulties, the anime has maintained a dedication to details that is unusual even by today's standards [1]. At the core are Nagahama and Dezaki, two directors known for their subtle, lyrical renditions of female lead characters. The characters' expressive eyes and flowing costumes are illustrated by the popular team, Araki and Himeno. Lastly, Makaino's music infuses the Rococo rhythms with a disco touch!

[1] About halfway through the series, Chief Director Nagahama left the production abruptly to work on the Ulysseus 31. Dezaki, who had just finished the movie of Ace o Nerae!, was quickly recruited to fill the role. The change in directors led to a major revamp of production staff, which in part accounts for the stylistic differences in the latter half of the series.
