Hi Jason ~ thanks for your comments. I hope you get a chance to see the full RoV anime,
since it's one of the best series from the 1970s, I think. I'm not sure what kinds of anime you like,
but I think RoV appeals to a wide range of viewers. Just to name a few anime/manga series some RoV fans
and I also like: Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam W, Glass Mask, Rg Veda, Tale of Genji, Saint Seiya, Please Save My Earth.

Oh please...continue translating the chapters of "Rose of versailles" manga. Can't wait.
I also just wanna ask something....i wonder whether Oscar has even a slight hatred toward her father?
If not..wow...that's the most extraordinary part of her...I wish i could be like her..
acceping all "improper" treatment from her father with such mature personality.
I could never be as strong as she is...

Yippee, it's 2002! ... Don't worry, I'll keep translating the manga.
(Just dreaming about a few other series now, but will soon return to Berubara land ^_^)
About Oscar's feelings towards her father ... hmm, I think it's more of resentment than hatred.
She is angry at her father for rejecting her ideals and forcing her to yield to conventions and authority.
Nevertheless, she respects and loves him dearly, and slowly comes to understand that he is only trying to protect her in his own way.
I think she probably hates the ideas her father supports, but not her father in person (although the line between the two seems a bit blurry at times,
especially for the younger Oscar). What I like most about Oscar is her courage to pursue her dreams till the very end.
Like you said, her strength is quite admirable.

Tiffany,
Tiffany:
Kelly:

Hi May, thanks. ^^ I'll definitely add more chapters, and plan to finish the series.
Now, translating this manga has made me appreciate Ikeda-sensei's talents even more.
I mean, I knew much of the story was based on actual historical events, but ... wow!
Besides the names and major events, most of the quotes and little details (e.g., Antoinette's lips)
are exactly the same. I'm just amazed at how she turned all those into such an exciting story.
Anyway, come back when you've got a chance, okay? ^_^

Dear Amy:
How are you? I saw your responses at my forum, thanks. It's very detail and useful!
Haha, you had been doing some shopping on Internet. ^^
I have been busy lately. Well, who doesn't?
But this week and the last was awful with the final exam approaching and various projects/reports due...
This upcoming week, I would have 3 presentation and 2 papers due! I am now struggling with my psychology
(it's my elective) paper. It's moving okay... I don't really have any insights to talk about this topic...because it's too medical..
Anyhow.. a thought has entered my mind.. I have been considering studying aborded in Japan for my master degree. Gee.. I don't know.
Anyway, I just droped by to chat with u a bit. I will see you around. ^^

Hi Kelly ~
Heh heh ... internet shopping is very addictive, especially with Yahoo! Japan
(though, for a healthy wallet, I've banned myself from that site until next year). ^^
By the way, how did the auctions work out for you? Did you get what you wanted?
Arrgh, your school work sounds horrible. Remember to eat and sleep!
This is what I used to forget while studying in college. The funny thing is,
I would pull several all-nighters in a row writing papers, and would forget everything I wrote as soon as I finish them.
Now the same thing is repeating at work. I think, for me, the only differences between school and work are ...
1) gets paid instead of paying them, 2) has boss and clients jumping on your back instead of profs.
What's really funny is that my boss and many of my colleagues are women, and often there will be random briefings right in the ladies' room.
(use your imagination. ^^)
Oh, about the master's degree, hmm, I know a few places that take exchange students studying the humanities and engineering.
Not sure about retail management, if that's what you're planning to do. By the way, there's a J-drama (based on manga, I think) called "Hotel"
Quite a good story about life in the hospitality industry.

Retail management and hospitality is very different, but they are both in the service sector (in a way).
My retail management is under school of business. Anyway, I asked around a bit and people asked me why I wanted to study business in Japan,
since most people consider studying business in North America is more applicable... Well, my answer was...
"May I be frank and said it's all about manga books.." Haha, my passion in Japanese culture is definitely a strong motive.
Fortuneately, I finished all my presentation. The remaining tasks are to write papers. One will be due on this Friday and the other will be due on next Wednesday.
I only slept 4 hours today... so.. It's.. I don't know, we (it's group project) began our task very early, it's not last minute,
but still it takes a long time to formulate your thought and to communicate that to the other group member and make your research/statement consistent and concise throughout your paper...
Anyway, I am looking forward to December, after my exam ended.
About the auction.. it seems like I never had luck in auctions,
or it just takes practicing or the item I like is also popular.. I don't know.
