I strongly recommend reading this translation along with the actual manga. Ikeda's artwork is a pure joy to see. While I have described the actions and sounds, often the imagery is so subtle that a text description does not capture the full meaning. Having both the text translation and artwork, I think, would be ideal.
This translation is based on the Shueisha bunko (1994). You can easily find a new set at a Japanese bookstore or an used copy via online auctions. Here are the publication info:
